Guest Marty Adams Posted March 30, 2012 at 02:53 AM Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 at 02:53 AM Can a person belonging to two different clubs hold an office such as a president? Would there not be a conflict of interest here? Thank you very much.
J. J. Posted March 30, 2012 at 03:03 AM Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 at 03:03 AM Nothing in RONR would even come close to prohibiting it.

Trina Posted March 30, 2012 at 11:07 AM Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 at 11:07 AM Can a person belonging to two different clubs hold an office such as a president? Would there not be a conflict of interest here? Thank you very much.If the members of the club (either one) feel there is a conflict of interest that is detrimental to their organization, they shouldn't elect the person to that office. However, I agree with J.J.'s emphatic statement -- RONR will not give you a rule against the person holding office, no matter how much 'conflict of interest' you think there is. Rev Ed Posted March 30, 2012 at 03:21 PM Report Share Posted March 30, 2012 at 03:21 PM RONR won't help us, and depending on the relationsip between the two organizations there may be no reason to be concerned. As they are clubs, even if they had a relationship in some way, it might just be beneficial for the two clubs to have a person serving on both Boards.
