Guest Carol Randolf Posted May 23, 2012 at 07:49 PM Report Share Posted May 23, 2012 at 07:49 PM I belong to a Condominium Association, the secretary of the board doesn't provide the minutes of the board meetingsin a reasonable time frame. Sometimes she will go for months before providing them, and sometimes not at all. Isthere a reference to a time frame for the secretary to provide the minutes for the owners? It must be in writing for her to adhere to & even then she may not.
George Mervosh Posted May 23, 2012 at 07:53 PM Report Share Posted May 23, 2012 at 07:53 PM There is no rule in RONR requiring the Board to provide non-board members with a copy of the Board's minutes at all. Your association would have to adopt one.
Rev Ed Posted May 23, 2012 at 10:12 PM Report Share Posted May 23, 2012 at 10:12 PM Do the By-laws of the condominium, or the area Condominium Act allow the owners to have copies of Board meetings? If so, that is where the "reasonable timeframe" issue will come from. However, also look at both for disciplinary possibilities, or simply elect someone else when her term is over if you do not like this.
