SaintCad Posted May 29, 2012 at 03:52 AM Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 at 03:52 AM Since this is general discussion and a registered parliamentarian is accredited in knowing RONR and I'm sure there are a few here that use the RP postnomial, what is the best way to prep? Assume starting with a general knowledge of RONR.
jstackpo Posted May 29, 2012 at 05:48 AM Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 at 05:48 AM Start by contacting the NAP: they have study guides, sample tests (I think), on-line and correspondence classes ("Distance Learning"), lots of goodies. Units (local chapters) often put on little workshops, join and participate. NAP has a big training session coming up in August. Click for info. Augment your "general knowledge" with detailed knowledge.Folks learn things in different ways - find the way the work for you and dig in.

Guest Edgar Posted May 29, 2012 at 01:44 PM Report Share Posted May 29, 2012 at 01:44 PM It might also be noted that, while the NAP "registers" parliamentarians, the AIP "certifies" them. Whether there is any significant difference between the designations (or even between the two organizations), I'll leave for others, though it appears that many (including all those on the AIP's Accrediting Committee) have both.
