Guest Vic McMurry Posted June 27, 2012 at 04:10 PM Report Share Posted June 27, 2012 at 04:10 PM Where in ByLaws should Protocol be placed. This would include ranking of Officers including National and State Officers at a State meeting. Would also include Dress Code for meetings. Chris Harrison Posted June 27, 2012 at 04:17 PM Report Share Posted June 27, 2012 at 04:17 PM That is for you all to determine but I think that putting it between the Article on Officers and the one on Meetings is as logical as any other place (though Dress Code might fit better in the Article on Members or Meetings). See RONR pp. 570-583 for the basic Articles that would go into the bylaws.
George Mervosh Posted June 27, 2012 at 05:34 PM Report Share Posted June 27, 2012 at 05:34 PM I think a dress code would be appropriate for the Standing Rules, rather than in the bylaws. RONR (11th ed.), p.
Guest Guest Posted June 27, 2012 at 07:19 PM Report Share Posted June 27, 2012 at 07:19 PM To Henry M. RobertThank you very much for your insight. To the Organization I am asking about, Protocol is very important and has not changed in many many years. I am part of a committee working on updating our By-Laws, and as part of the effort I have purchased your 11th edition and already had page's 570 thru 583 marked. Thanks again for your assistance.Vic McMurry
