George Mervosh Posted September 28, 2012 at 04:33 PM Report Share Posted September 28, 2012 at 04:33 PM Can you change the wording of a motion in the minutes if someone feels it is unclear? Is it the same wording that was used when the chair put the question to a vote? If so, no. The exact wording of the motion when the chair put the question to a vote is what's recorded, whether it's clear or not. That said, the chair should never permit a question to be voted on where the wording is not clear to the members, or it's unclear what effect their vote would have.-edit-If the members disagreed about the wording that the chair used to put the question, that's a different matter. Gary Novosielski Posted September 28, 2012 at 05:16 PM Report Share Posted September 28, 2012 at 05:16 PM Can you change the wording of a motion in the minutes if someone feels it is unclear? No. Only if someone (well, a majority) feels it is inaccurate--i.e., not the correct actual wording.
