Guest Jack Posted October 9, 2012 at 10:20 PM Report Posted October 9, 2012 at 10:20 PM I am in an academic setting. We have a committee, which is necessary for the functioning of our College and included in our bylaws, but everyone elected to the committee during faculty meetings resigns. As a result, we still have no representation on this committee. The committee is necessary. Are there rules that might cover this?

George Mervosh Posted October 10, 2012 at 01:55 PM Report Posted October 10, 2012 at 01:55 PM The body which has power to appoint committee members is responsible for filling vacancies when they arise.Indeed, problem is no one wants to fill the vacancy for any length of time, so perhaps Guest_Jack's College needs to figure out what the problem is and fix it so someone will be willing to serve.
