Guest Richard Posted November 13, 2012 at 06:46 PM Report Share Posted November 13, 2012 at 06:46 PM If the Bi-laws of 2004 where revised or amended in 2008 and no one has a copy of the revised copy, but there is a copy of the 2004 Bi-Laws do follow those bi-Laws. Chris Harrison Posted November 13, 2012 at 06:56 PM Report Share Posted November 13, 2012 at 06:56 PM No. Check the minutes of the meeting(s) when the bylaws were amended. They should reflect whatever changes were made.
Guest Edgar Posted November 13, 2012 at 07:06 PM Report Share Posted November 13, 2012 at 07:06 PM If the bylaws of 2004 were revised or amended in 2008 and no one has a copy of the revised copy . . .No one?As Chris H. suggested, you'll find the bylaws in the minutes of the meetings where they were amended (and in the minutes of the first meeting where they were originally adopted). By going through the minutes chronologically you'll be able to reconstruct the bylaws. Then make sure every member gets a copy. And post a copy on your website. No website? Get one. It's 2012. Even RONR has a website.

Guest Richard Posted November 14, 2012 at 02:25 PM Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 at 02:25 PM What happens if no one on the Board of Directors wants to be chariman of the Board....
Guest Guest Posted November 14, 2012 at 02:37 PM Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 at 02:37 PM I think I opened a can of worms when I told them at the last meeting that the Bi-Laws that were hanging up at the club were dated 2004 and then they said there was a 2008 revision but no one has a copy and they do not keep good records of the minutes. They are going to put a Bi-Laws committe together to review and revise the Bi-Laws so I guess we have to go by the 2004 copy until that happens. Guest Edgar Posted November 14, 2012 at 02:40 PM Report Share Posted November 14, 2012 at 02:40 PM What happens if no one on the Board of Directors wants to be chariman of the Board....Get new board members (see FAQ #20) that will include at least one who is willing to preside at meetings. That's really all the chair has to do.
