Guest Shelly Posted December 18, 2012 at 09:00 PM Report Share Posted December 18, 2012 at 09:00 PM Can a member vote on an issue if they weren't present during the discussion, they only came in after the motion was raised and voted. Can they do this?
Rev Ed Posted December 18, 2012 at 09:07 PM Report Share Posted December 18, 2012 at 09:07 PM Yes, according to RONR. Double check the organization's own rules to make sure the organization doesn't have such a rule though (although I personally doubt it.)
jstackpo Posted December 18, 2012 at 11:28 PM Report Share Posted December 18, 2012 at 11:28 PM Hold up a moment...If the late (not dead, just tardy) member came in after the vote was concluded, and the outcome was announced, then he can vote only with the permission of the assembly. And that is ONLY if he is real quick about it. p. 408, line 28 ff.Shelly wasn't quite precise enough about the details. Shelly?
