Guest jbw Posted November 20, 2013 at 06:26 PM Report Share Posted November 20, 2013 at 06:26 PM A meeting was held two weeks ago, the member was present, but out of the room when the vote was taken. He would like to be recorded as an aye vote on a resolution, with no change in outcome. Can a member ask unanimous consent to be recorded as voting aye on a resolution in a succeeding meeting? Chris Harrison Posted November 20, 2013 at 06:56 PM Report Share Posted November 20, 2013 at 06:56 PM Almost certainly not on (at least) 2 fronts:1) A member who wasn't there cannot vote unless the bylaws specifically permits it (RONR pp. 423-424) and,2) A member cannot vote or change their vote even with unanimous consent after the assembly has moved onto the next item of business (RONR pp. 408-409). George Mervosh Posted November 20, 2013 at 07:33 PM Report Share Posted November 20, 2013 at 07:33 PM Plus your title "Amending Vote" isn't applicable. Since he didn't vote there's no vote to change.
