Guest BJ Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:09 PM Report Share Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:09 PM Our board has called an exec board meeting to audit the treasuery. I can not find on this site who is supposed (or not) to attend. I was told board members, Pres & VP only. But I did see here that we could have special invities. But what about the secretary? Wouldn't they be included in an exec meeting?
jstackpo Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:13 PM Report Share Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:13 PM A meeting of the Board (by whatever name) MUST include at least an invitation to ALL board members to attend. Is the Sec listed in your bylaws as a member of your Exec Board?
Guest BJ Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:22 PM Report Share Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:22 PM Thanks JD! I will have to check the bylaws but I think so. We are a small group but trying to follow order.

In the rather unlikely event that the Secretary is not a member of the board and the board chooses not to let the Secretary attend, the board should make sure to elect a Secretary Pro Tempore for the meeting. Edgar Guest Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:36 PM Report Share Posted May 24, 2014 at 01:36 PM Our board has called an exec board meeting to audit the treasury. Do you mean the your Executive Board has called a meeting or do you mean that your Board has called a meeting which will be held in executive session?
