Guest Ladonna Posted August 25, 2014 at 06:42 PM Report Share Posted August 25, 2014 at 06:42 PM A motion was passed in June by our Board of Directors that would affect our Bylaws and we would like to see what the procedure is to change that motion in our next meeting of the BOD, but we meet to approve Bylaws the next day with our General Membership since it is a Bylaws change. Is that even possible? Our current bylaws state that a 30-day notice be given to the general membership prior to a vote. Could the change be made in the form of a motion AT the General Membership meeting?

If the proposed amendment is problematic your best option is probably to just drop it. (Unless the desired change to the proposed amendment falls within "the scope of the notice" of the original proposal.)

Bruce Lages Posted August 26, 2014 at 12:22 AM Report Share Posted August 26, 2014 at 12:22 AM Are the application fees specified in the bylaws or are they spelled out in some other rule or policy?
