DanielEHayes Posted March 12, 2015 at 05:13 PM Report Share Posted March 12, 2015 at 05:13 PM On RONR(11th ed.), pp.291 it states "A resignation is submitted in writing, addressed to the secretary or appointng power" I don't see anywhere that is says the resignation letter needs to require a date. Hieu H. Huynh Posted March 12, 2015 at 05:22 PM Report Share Posted March 12, 2015 at 05:22 PM A Board of Directors can accept a resignation if they are authorized in the bylaws to do so. Is the date referring to when the resignation becomes effective? I think that if there's no date for becoming effective, the resignation becomes effective when it is accepted.
