Guest concerned volunteer Posted March 29, 2015 at 06:26 AM Report Share Posted March 29, 2015 at 06:26 AM I am 2 states away from a copy of the minutes but it was more along the lines that all applications for membership were voted on individually. After all were voted on there was a motion along the lines of excepting what was voted on. Not word for word.
jstackpo Posted March 29, 2015 at 10:43 AM Report Share Posted March 29, 2015 at 10:43 AM It was probably unnecessary to vote twice on accepting the members, but you might have a special rule in your bylaws. Check them when you get home.

Josh Martin Posted March 29, 2015 at 05:03 PM Report Share Posted March 29, 2015 at 05:03 PM I am 2 states away from a copy of the minutes but it was more along the lines that all applications for membership were voted on individually. After all were voted on there was a motion along the lines of excepting what was voted on. Not word for word.Based upon the facts provided, it seems to me that the second motion was unnecessary and out of order, and it is in order for the rejected applicant to reapply in the future.
