Edgar Guest Posted March 29, 2015 at 06:44 PM Report Share Posted March 29, 2015 at 06:44 PM Only if your bylaws give your president the authority to do so. Absent any provisions for filling mid-term vacancies, you'll fill them the way you usually do (e.g. election by the general membership).
Guest Concerned Member Posted April 2, 2015 at 12:30 PM Report Share Posted April 2, 2015 at 12:30 PM If an existing officer is ill, but has not formally resigned, can a temporary officer be put in office to fill the void until the officer comes back (this is not the President, but a VP), AND if a termporary officer is put in place, does that temporary officer have to be elected by the membership? Transpower Posted April 2, 2015 at 12:59 PM Report Share Posted April 2, 2015 at 12:59 PM If you have more than one VP, these should be ordered in the bylaws. If the first VP is ill, then the second VP can assume his/her duties, etc.
