Guest Linda J Posted April 20, 2015 at 09:51 PM Report Share Posted April 20, 2015 at 09:51 PM Board reports are sent out to board members to review before board meeting. Any pertinent information that may be needed to make decisions before voting are also included. An employee contract that the board needs to vote on was drawn up and completed right before board meeting. Is it appropriate to just present at meeting or does it need to be emailed to all Board members?
Hieu H. Huynh Posted April 20, 2015 at 11:11 PM Report Share Posted April 20, 2015 at 11:11 PM I think it is appropriate to just present a report at the meeting unless your rules require that it be emailed to all board members beforehand.
Richard Brown Posted April 21, 2015 at 12:26 AM Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 at 12:26 AM I agree with Mr. Huynh. If any member believes he or the other members have not had sufficient time to review the proposed contract, he can move to postpone the matter until the next meeting. A brief recess can also be taken during the meeting to enable members to review the contract.
