BabbsJohnson Posted July 9, 2015 at 11:56 PM Report Share Posted July 9, 2015 at 11:56 PM Hello Parliamentarians,I'm wondering if any of you could share some experience stories about cases where you actually had to invoke Robert's Rules disciplinary procedures?Coming from a group where no formal discipline structure exists, but might sometime in the future. BabbsJohnson Posted July 10, 2015 at 05:16 AM Author Report Share Posted July 10, 2015 at 05:16 AM Just looking for examples of real processes and how they played out, the effect on the group, how far the processes had to go. I'm working with a group that has had many violations but has never implemented any disciplinary guidelines or processes of their own. They usually just ignore it, deny it, or actively forget about it or in some cases, make a really big case out of it.Some people get punished by way of public humiliation, some get a free pass and get none.I'm going to attempt to start a conversation about establishing a process if rules are broken that ensures a more consistent set of consequences. Gary Novosielski Posted July 22, 2015 at 04:19 AM Report Share Posted July 22, 2015 at 04:19 AM If your organization has RONR as its parliamentary authority, then you already have a process for discipline, as detailed in Chapter XX.
