dissolving a board

At a general meeting of the membership there was not a quorum so the meeting was was rescheduled and then at

a second meeting once again there was no quorum. The meeting was to vote on proposed new by-laws.

The question is that some members believe that the board should be dissolved.  There is nothing in our current

by-laws that state this.  Is there, in fact, a rule covering this.

Some more details would help.  Why do they want the board dissolved, and what do they mean by that?  Do they mean they want to remove everyone and select new people, or they don't want a board at all?

From a practical point of view, I don't think an organization that has this much trouble holding a general meeting wants to be without a board.

I don't understand how the second paragraph has any relationship at all to the first paragraph.  Membership meetings and board meetings are not the same thing.

Or are you saying that the proposed change to the bylaws would eliminate the existence of the board?

Anyway, there is nothing in RONR that even faintly resembles what "some members" appear to believe.  Besides, how would dissolving the board help you get a quorum at the next meeting?
