Guest Mark B Pullium Sr Posted November 14, 2017 at 06:08 PM Report Share Posted November 14, 2017 at 06:08 PM The president of our HOA keeps telling me she can't vote unless there is a tie. We only have 5 members to start with. We are trying to have a repair done at our park that cost app. 7,000.00. It is my understanding that she can vote as a board member and doesn't need to be a tie breaker. Hope this is enough information. Mr. Mervosh's link should help you. RONR recommends using small-board rules, which allows the president to fully participate in making motions, speaking in debate, and voting.
