Guest Who's Coming to Dinner Posted February 22, 2018 at 05:06 AM Report Share Posted February 22, 2018 at 05:06 AM It is the vice president's duty to chair the meeting in the absence of the president or when the president vacates the chair. How the vice president got into office has nothing to do with it.

As long as officers got into office properly according to the bylaws, they're in office. It no longer matters how they got there. If conducting such a meeting is within the duties of the vice president, there's no question that the vice president should conduct the meeting.
