Opening a discussion from a previous board meeting.

A board meeting was held in February and a subject came up that I mulled over and brought the subject up at the March meeting.  Two of the board members were not at the March meeting and one of the board members who was present in February was not present in March.  Due to the absence of the board member who was present in February, but not in March, one board member didn't think we should discuss the subject at hand and another board member who was present at both meetings stated that he had thoughts but didn't want to comment until the absent board member was there.  Your thoughts??  We have seven board members....five members were present at each meeting.

Agreeing with my colleagues, the board had every right to take up the matter in March, but there is also nothing wrong with postponing the matter if that is what a majority of the board members present want to do.  All that matters is whether you have a quorum.  it doesn't matter who was or was not at a particular meeting.
