Guest Neil Tennant Posted January 10, 2024 at 07:49 PM Report Share Posted January 10, 2024 at 07:49 PM Is the Chair of a meeting obliged to report apologies for absence that they have received before the meeting? And to ensure that those apologies are minuted?

So there is no need to report or record these absences at all, let alone the reasons the members are absent. Some organizations have their own rules on these matters. Richard Brown Posted January 11, 2024 at 07:46 AM Report Share Posted January 11, 2024 at 07:46 AM Agreeing with my colleagues, any such requirement would have to be included in your own rules. There is no such rule in RONR.
