Member review of financials

Hi - for whatever reason we have member who insists on being difficult and stirring up nonsense.  She has now requested that since she is a member she has a right to review the filings for the past 10 years.  As a board is there anything we can do to challenge her request or delay it?  Nothing to hide but how do we maintain some confidentiality around our financials?  Do we just give her copies?  Ideally we would love for her to just go away but that won’t happen.  If you know of any strategies we could use, let me know.

Nothing in RONR provides that members have a right to review the organization's "filing," so if the rules in RONR are controlling, it is at the board's discretion whether to grant this request and, if so, in what manner to do so. So as far as RONR is concerned, the board is free to provide the copies requested, to delay the request, or to reject it entirely.

It may be that there is something in the organization's rules or applicable law granting members additional rights in this matter, but that is beyond the scope of RONR and this forum.

It's not clear what you mean by "filings".  What sort of things are included in that term?  Are you referring to minutes, or some other kind of records?

Sorry IRS filings and supporting financials

Then I would refer you to @Josh Martin's reply, which applies to your situation.  RONR establishes no such "right".  Ask the insistent member what rule, regulation, bylaw, or custom does she believe grants her this "right".  Who knows, maybe she'll come up with something, but it's hard to recommend where to look when you don't even know whether the thing you're looking for exists.
