Guest Jim Cline Posted August 10, 2015 at 11:56 AM Report Share Posted August 10, 2015 at 11:56 AM The President of our HOA Conducted a Vote of the Membership to have a Monies taken from our Contingency Fund without having a Motion, Second, or Vote from the Board. Also, the Vote was done online. Is this Legal under Roberts Rules ?
Edgar Guest Posted August 10, 2015 at 12:06 PM Report Share Posted August 10, 2015 at 12:06 PM As far as RONR is concerned, (the general membership of) a society is free to make decisions without the prior approval of the board. Your rules may vary. See Official Interpretations 2006-12 and 2006-13. Note: This topic may be moved to the General Discussion forum where it belongs.
