Guest wwatson Posted February 17, 2011 at 08:50 PM Report Share Posted February 17, 2011 at 08:50 PM What happens when an improper Motion to Reconsider is made (i.e. it was made at the next meeting instead of the same meeting or the next day) in lieu of a Motion to Renew and the matter is reconsidered and the outcome changed. Is the vote valid and binding or does the fact that the matter was voted on under an improper motion fatal to the vote in question?

The breach of the rule at RONR (10th ed.), p. 305, ll. 26-35, does not fall within any of the five exceptions on p. 244, ll. 10-24.
