Guest Jeanne C. Posted July 26, 2011 at 05:10 PM Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 at 05:10 PM I'm new at this, and very confused. If a motion is made, seconded, voted on, and approved at a meeting, can any officer decide later on (a week after the meeting) to table the motion until the next meeting? There were zero "nay" votes on the motion at the meeting.
George Mervosh Posted July 26, 2011 at 05:16 PM Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 at 05:16 PM Whether there were nay votes or not, no rule in RONR permits it.
Gary c Tesser Posted July 26, 2011 at 05:59 PM Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 at 05:59 PM Any officer can also decide to take the keys to my silver Porsche and ride it around for a while, but you know what?
Rev Ed Posted July 26, 2011 at 06:04 PM Report Share Posted July 26, 2011 at 06:04 PM The officer's only action, according to RONR, would be to move to rescind the motion at the next meeting.
