Guest John Posted July 31, 2011 at 11:51 PM Report Share Posted July 31, 2011 at 11:51 PM During the conference meetings of our group, time in reserved for committees to meet. The president is an ex officio member of all committees and she frequently visits some with whom she has business to conduct. At our last meeting, when she arrived we were handling some other business and a member objected to allowing her business to come up then. How can we agree to an agenda so that when she arrives, that will become the order of the day? See RONR (10th ed.), §17, pp. 201ff.

Rev Ed Posted August 1, 2011 at 04:10 AM Report Share Posted August 1, 2011 at 04:10 AM I second Rob's suggestion. Just lay on the table the issue being discussed when she arrives, and then take the issue up again after she leaves/finishes.
