Can a 501C(3) org become an affiliation with a local school board?

No vote by the membership, by-laws not changed, public money & privite money, assests?

BG4. Approve Affiliation with __________League

BE IT RESOLVED: that the_________________Board of Education does hereby

Approve an affiliation with the __________________ League that will

enhance the district’s athletic program.

Nothing in RONR prevents any body from becoming affiliated with any body.

As far as RONR is concerned, the assembly is free to adopt the resolution.

If I understand your question correctly, you are worried whether the affiliation will affect the tax status of the organization. For this kind of question, you really need the help of a tax attorney.

It's not likely, since the resolution was not a resolution of the 501 ( c ) 3 itself, but rather a resolution of a nearby board of education. But you never know.
