Guest Mary Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:24 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:24 AM Please can you tell me if Roberts Rules, 11th edition says anything about how meeting minutes should be typed? I know that withdrawn motions should not be included but how about the format of the minutes? We have a secretary who does it differently after every meeting and things that's just fine. It makes it difficult to read, especially when she center's everything on the page.
Chris Harrison Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:27 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:27 AM See RONR pp. 468-473 for what should go in the minutes and a sample set of them.
Guest Edgar Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:39 AM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 12:39 AM It makes it difficult to read, especially when she centers everything on the page.RONR has nothing to say about whether the minutes should be left justified, right justified, or centered.Nor does it much care about which font, or color, is used. If it's becoming an issue the assembly could adopt its own rules on the subject.
g40 Posted February 16, 2013 at 05:41 PM Report Share Posted February 16, 2013 at 05:41 PM At the next election, try to vote for a more competent and consistent secretary, who formats the minutes in a way that is more "readable".
