jtc0601 Posted July 15, 2014 at 10:34 PM Report Share Posted July 15, 2014 at 10:34 PM Once the Nominating Committee finalizes it's report. Can it be shared with other members before it is mailed to entire memembership?

Edgar Guest Posted July 15, 2014 at 10:47 PM Report Share Posted July 15, 2014 at 10:47 PM While I'm not sure that anything in RONR specifically prohibits this, the job of the nominating committee is to report to the general membership, I can't think of a good reason why it should report to anyone else in advance. Certainly I don't think any individual members of the nominating committee should reveal the committee's report before it's presented. It's not so much that it's a deep, dark secret, it's just that there's a certain protocol involved. It's kinda like telling someone what they'll be getting for Christmas. No rule in RONR prevents it. It's just bad form. Wait until Christmas.
jstackpo Posted July 15, 2014 at 10:59 PM Report Share Posted July 15, 2014 at 10:59 PM Somehow I never really equated being nominated for a (responsible, onerous) office with getting a Christmas present.

And yet there never seems to be a lack of people who want to be President.
