Timothy Posted August 7, 2014 at 06:14 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 at 06:14 PM Unless your bylaws state otherwise, who lives with whom doesn't matter.
Guest Guest Posted August 7, 2014 at 07:58 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 at 07:58 PM but does this become a problem when it comes to voting or when one members is president and the other member is treasurer, when it comes to signing checks for the club, should both be able to sign the ceck when it takes two signatures usually two different board members. Edgar Guest Posted August 7, 2014 at 08:03 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 at 08:03 PM Whoever elected this couple as president and treasurer presumably had no problem with it.

Edgar Guest Posted August 7, 2014 at 08:41 PM Report Share Posted August 7, 2014 at 08:41 PM If enough members think it will be a problem they can elect someone else. Alternatively, you could modify your check-signing policy.

Whatever rules or customs your board is following now will not change if these people are elected, and nothing in RONR suggests it should be changed because of the facts you have presented.
