Guest Susan Gray Posted April 21, 2015 at 08:15 PM Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 at 08:15 PM Our constitution stipulates that Robert's Rules of Order are to be followed when conducting meetings. If the chair does not follow the rules, are actions taken null and void?
Tom Coronite Posted April 21, 2015 at 08:23 PM Report Share Posted April 21, 2015 at 08:23 PM It depends. They might be depending on the rules he's breaking. For example, if he breaks a rule that requires previous notice of a bylaw amendment, maybe the action is null and void. But if he breaks a rule that limits how many times a speaker may speak on a motion, probably not. maybe you could offer specifics?
