A motion was made, seconded, and passed by vote.  Can someone submit a new motion afterward that would contradict the just-taken vote?

In general, no.  They could move to Rescind the motion just passed, but that would have a higher threshold than the original and seems unlikely to succeed unless sentiments had changed substantially in the last five minutes.

But it's not in order to make a motion that conflicts with a motion already passed and still in effect.  Exceptions may apply.

Guest Brad, as is evident from the responses posted thus far, more information is needed as to what you mean by your question, " Can someone submit a new motion afterward that would contradict the just-taken vote? "

If you can explain  what you mean, perhaps we can be of more help.
