President not notifying all board members of meetings

A board's President, who has been in the position for 2 1/2 months, has called two meetings without notifying an individual board member for each respective meeting (the two meetings were called for two different board members).  He called the meetings to persuade the board to suspend/remove the non notified board member(s) who he feels were not working with him.  What consequences should come from the President's actions?

What consequences should come from the President's actions will be up to the organization to determine. As for what consequences could come from his actions, one possibility would be to remove the President from office. The procedures for doing so are discussed in FAQ #20.

It should also be noted that, in addition to any consequences that may (or may not) be levied against the President, meetings called without notifying all members are invalid, and any business conducted at such invalid meetings is null and void. So if the board did in fact agree to the President's suggestion to remove these board members, the removals are null and void and the individuals in question are still members of the board (even if the board otherwise has the authority to remove board members under your rules).

The president should be disciplined.  And meetings of which not all members have been notified are not "properly called" and any business conducted at them is null and void.
