Guest Amy Posted April 3, 2021 at 04:43 PM Report Share Posted April 3, 2021 at 04:43 PM Good afternoon If there is an objection to a procedure for a vote to change the bylaws before the voting starts, how do you handle that. Thanks Amy

Rob Elsman Posted April 3, 2021 at 05:53 PM Report Share Posted April 3, 2021 at 05:53 PM For ordinary societies that have adopted Robert's Rules of Order Newly Revised as the parliamentary authority, there should not be any need for additional voting procedures. Thanks Amy The procedure to change the bylaws is usually contained within the bylaws. I can't easily think how that procedure could be objected to. Was it by a Point of Order? If so, the chair should probably rule the point not well taken.
