Officer Elections

Our bylaws allow that officers may be elected by acclamation when there is only one candidate in nomination.  We have several fitting this status for this election cycle.  The current president is also the only candidate, but to a different office for this election.    1) Does the President preside over the elections?  2) What should the presiding officer that is appropriate in declaring a candidate elected by acclamation?

How about saying (after making sure that there are none) "There being no further nominations, Joe Doaks is hereby declared to have been duly elected to the office of Secretary."
