Guest Machiel Covey Posted May 10, 2012 at 03:05 PM Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 at 03:05 PM What are the proper steps to bring back a tabled agenda item for a Type A general law city?
Chris Harrison Posted May 10, 2012 at 03:09 PM Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 at 03:09 PM For a strictly RONR answer you would take it from the table though there is a limit on how long something will live on the table (RONR pp. 300-305). For how that might interact with a "Type A general law city" you will need to ask a lawyer.

jstackpo Posted May 10, 2012 at 03:44 PM Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 at 03:44 PM We are here to help! Keep asking questions!! About RONR, that is. (You may not always get answers, but those are the breaks.)Your city may have special rules that supersede RONR and we can't speak to such special rules. You, and your city attorney, are on your own with respect to those rules.

Guest Machiel Covey Posted May 10, 2012 at 05:35 PM Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 at 05:35 PM It was just tabled on the 8th of this month and I knew there were special steps to bring back just was not sure what they were.
George Mervosh Posted May 10, 2012 at 05:50 PM Report Share Posted May 10, 2012 at 05:50 PM It was just tabled on the 8th of this month and I knew there were special steps to bring back just was not sure what they were. That's fine. Under RONR if it is not taken from the table by the close of the next regular session (assuming it's within a quarterly time interval), it dies and can be made anew.
