  1. How is this person trying to manipulate the meetings?
  2. The membership would vote on a motion to accept the resignation.
  3. Also, it is likely that "table" is being misused (see FAQ #12 and #13).
  4. It is effective when it is accepted by the body authorized to accept resignations.
  5. Since absentee voting is prohibited unless your bylaws provide for it, any details regarding absentee voting would have to be provided for in your rules. RONR says that the organization should not adopt a bylaw which counts absentee votes along with votes at the meeting.
  6. The committee could discuss whatever it is responsible for without an agenda. Why is one being adopted?
  7. They can't if the bylaws don't provide for it.
  8. The elections would have to be conducted by ballot in accordance with your rules. If your association wants to do something else, the bylaws would have to be amended.
  9. If the bylaws are ambiguous, they should be amended to remove the ambiguity.
  10. The board could do it unless your bylaws say otherwise.
  11. It appears the board agreed to it if no one objected or raised a point of order.
