  1. Ultimately it is up to your organization to interpret your bylaws. If your rules are not clear, they should be amended to remove the ambiguity.
  2. They could be removed from office (see FAQ #20).
  3. You could call a meeting only if the bylaws give you the power to call a meeting.
  4. The officers only have such powers that the bylaws provide.

  7. I would not rely on information from this book. It contains numerous errors.
  8. RONR says "a vote of a majority of the entire membership" and not "a majority vote of the entire membership". I think understanding the difference can help answer your question.
  9. Or you could handle the proposed bylaws revision before the elections.
  10. If everyone is there and wants to proceed with the business, then proceed with it.
  11. The person responsible for carrying out the motion could be disciplined for not doing so.
  12. RONR does not require posting on a website. Your organization could adopt a rule on the matter.
  13. How each board member votes would not be in the minutes unless the board decides so.
  14. What about the committee member not running for office?
