  1. Raise a point of order at the next meeting.
  2. It's likely too late now to make a motion to reconsider.
  3. What was the result of the vote on the new motion?
  4. I think this may be a matter of bylaws interpretation, which only your organization could do. Perhaps the bylaws could be amended to make it clear whether this rule could be suspended.
  5. Eligibility requirements in the bylaws cannot be suspended.
  6. The membership could adopt a motion to have those reports available to the membership.
  7. Generally the chair conducts the election. Do your bylaws require a ballot vote?
  8. Was the subsequent motion adopted by the vote required to rescind or amend the previously adopted motion?
  9. Ultimately it is up to your organization to interpret your bylaws.
  10. A point of order should have been made at the time of that error. It is too late to raise a point of order now.

  12. What about the secretary keeping the records?
  13. Is there "until their successors are elected" in the term of office in your bylaws?
  14. The chair should clearly state the amendment and allow any debate before putting it to a vote.

  16. Perhaps the members of the executive committee could be removed from office (see FAQ #20).
